Dayak Deah Tour Balian Ceremony ( 4 Days 3 Nights )

Dayak Balian Ceremony is one of our tour that allow our clients to see the Dayak traditional ceremony for healing or treatment process with their own culture as most of the Dayak people are still animism. here you will stay overnight in their house and share their life with you. The dances are unique and they use mystical Dayak Deah dancing performance. The dance presented by village lady dancers and one man called Balian (shaman) climbs up the thorny rattan tree with his supernatural power. The man climbs up with bare hand and foot. In the end of the performance the man has no hurt on his body at all with the sharp thorns have broken. This dance is accompanied by traditional music instrument in very dynamic rhythm of Dayak tribe.

Day 01. Arrival in Banjarmasin Airport – Upau Village – Local House ( L, D )

Upon arrival at Syamsuddinnor airport, meeting service with your guide/assistance who will escort you to Upau Village. It will take around 6 hours ride to get to the village. Direct transfer you to the local house where you will overnight with the Dayak people.       

 

Day 02. Local House – Kinarum River – Dance ceremony – Local House (B,L,D)

Early morning after breakfast you will transfer by car to Kinarum River. Bathing on this river really nice. You will see the beautiful rapid and you are also could swim around it and feel the spirit of nature with the cold fresh water make you feel different. This river is floating down from Meratus range who bordered South and East Kalimantan, it is really clean. Back to the Village to see the Dayak Dance ceremony. Here the Dayak people will dance and they have unique and mystical Dayak Deah dancing performance. The dance presented by village lady dancers and one man called Balian (shaman) climbs up thorny rattan tree with his supernatural power. The man climbs up with bare hand and foot. In the end of the performance the man has no hurt on his body at all with the sharp thorns have broken. This dance is accompanied by traditional music instrument in very dynamic rhythm of Dayak tribe. In the Evening after dinner you will see Balian Ceremony. This Ceremony is a treatment ceremony lead by a Balian (Shamman) and accompanied by traditional music instrument in very dynamic rhythm. Back to the local house for overnight.

 

Day 03. Local House – Banjarmasin – Hotel (B, L, D)

Early morning after breakfast you will visit the local school to see their activities. You could teach English lesson in their class for 1.5 hours. After the school is over we will transfer you back to Banjarmasin and check in into the hotel. Lunch will be served an route.

 

Day 04. Hotel – Next Destination (B)

Breakfast at Hotel, free at your leisure until the time for transferring you to Airport for your next destination.
